water pollution is one of the most serious enviroment probles.when water is contaminated by undesirable things like undissoleved solid substances dissolved.salts toxic substances metals oils,germs,etc.it is polluted.these substances are called water pollutants.a pollutant is a substance in wrong amount in a wrong place or at wrongtme.for eg,nitrogen and phosphorus are used in agriculture to increase crop yields but they can also cause pollution in lakes and rivers.soap and different kinds of detergents are used to wash clothes.they produces lot of foam.the poisonous waters from different industries should be treated chemically the use of chemical fertilizers,insecticles and pesticides should be avoided or minimized.water pollution is when we both .water pollution is defined as the accurrence of dissolved or undissolved unwanted materials in water.these substances decrease the quality of water and are harmful to living things.it is one of the most serious enviromental problems.
Factors of Water pollution
1.Industrials Wases:the mixing of industrial wastes such as salts of metals
acids,bases,phenols,hot water,etc into the sources of water is the main
cause of water pollution.
2.sewage:the dumping of sewage like human faeces,animals dung and others into the sources of water is the another factor of water pollution.These materials contain different harmful germs which can causes diseases.lack of proper management of drainage system in the cities may also pollute water.
3.Synthetic detergents:soap and different kinds of detergents are used to wash clothes.they products a lot of form, which can not decomesed by the natural micro -organisms . As the result of which water becomes polluted.
Prevention of water pollution
1.The poisonus wastes from different industries should be treated chemically the poisonus substances should be neutralised before them mixing into lakes,streams,rivers.
2.sewage shouldnot be dumped near the sources of water.It should b changed into organic manure which can be used in the crop fields.
3.the use of more synthetic detergents should be minimized.
4.Dead bodies of living being should be thrown in a proper place,but not in rivers.
5.The extra and other garbage can be used for the production of bio-gas and manure in bio-gas plants
